Warren L. Liston, 67, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 20, 2014, with his loving family at his side at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Warren was the beloved husband of 18 years to Sally (Clark) Liston.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of the late James F. and Helen B. (Lincoln) Liston. Warren had resided in Enfield for the past 18 years and in Newcastle, England, prior to that. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Prior to retiring in 2010, Warren was employed by Stirling Lloyd Products, Newington, for 25 years. He was an original old "Hippie," loved the Beatles music, enjoyed growing flowers especially sunflowers, traveled all over the world, loved his dogs, Skye and Jacks, and his greatest joy was his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Along with his wife, Sally, Warren is survived by his loving daughter, Zoe, of Enfield; his two cherished and adored grandchildren, Amber and Aiden; a brother-in-law, Michael Clark, and his wife, Wendy; two nieces, Rachel Brayfield and Sarah Vokey.

Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Saturday, July 26, 2014, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service in celebration of Warren's life at noon at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Military honors will be rendered after the memorial service. Please wear bright colors! Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
