William James Baltaks, 83, of Vernon, loving husband for over 44 years to Phyllis (Gilerowitz) Baltaks, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital with his wife at his side.

Born in Maywood, New Jersey, the son of the late Julius and Veronica (Burokus) Baltaks, he grew up and lived in New Jersey and Upton, Massachusetts, before moving to Vernon in 1986. William completed his doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida. He was a gifted student and graduated at the top of all his high school and college classes. William wanted to be an entrepreneur, and he made that happen when he started his own residential real estate/brokerage firm in Holliston, Massachusetts.
