It’s been twelve years (!) but I still think of Ben often. Especially in light of all that’s happened this year...I wonder what sort of wisdom and pseudo-wisdom he’d have had for me. But I’m also pretty sure that if I could talk to him today, he’d take a drag off a cigarette and just say with a grin, “yep, that’s why I got out when I did.”

I remember Ben as the guy who would walk me to work because we got off at the same bus stop. He would stop in for ice cream when he saw i was working. He was that guy who was always there because he cared about every person he met, and i regret not creating a stronger relationship to such a caring person. It really puts things into perspective and i will be sure to "pay it forward" in remembrance of him. Thank you Ben for what you have taught me. You have touched the hearts of everyone you know and we will all remember you. We love you.

Our deepest condolences. Ben was a sweet ,kind young man. Both of our boys John and Danny loved when Ben would come up the hill to our house on Ventura Dr. and play basketball when Ben was in high school school. Danny who is now 17 just said to us yesterday he remembers how Ben would come up to the house and steal his chips....he was like a second brother to the boys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ben will always be in all of our hearts.
