Jeffrey L. Hundley, 70, of Suffield, beloved husband for 43 years to Sylvia (Swift) Hundley, died peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Quaker, W.Va., son of the late James and Osa (Adkins) Hundley, he was a resident of Suffield for over 50 years. Jeffrey attended Suffield schools and graduated from Suffield High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He drove for Airborne Express for over 35 years and was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 671 Retirees Association. Jeffrey also was a member of both the Suffield Sportsmen's Association and the Polish American Club of Windsor Locks. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider.
Besides his wife, Sylvia, he leaves a son, Jeffrey Hundley Jr. of Suffield; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Rita and Connie Hundley. He was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, James, Jay, and John Hundley and three sisters, Geneva Wynglarz, Roberta Rumore, and Gracie Faye Hundley.
His family will receive friends Saturday, May 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. North (Route 159), Suffield, followed by a procession escorted by his riding friends on Harley Davidson motorcycles to a graveside service at 1 p.m. in Hazardville Cemetery, Route 190, Hazardville section of Enfield with military honors.
