Jane C. Barszcz, 90, a lifelong resident of Thompsonville section of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 2, 2012, at the Suffield House.

She was born in Enfield on July 10, 1922, to the late Antoni and Katarzyna (Kot) Barszcz. She was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church, and a former member of the church choir. Jane was employed by the Department of Labor as an investigator, prior to her retirement. Jane will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
She leaves behind her niece, Kathy Banas-Marti, and her husband, David, of Suffield; a nephew, Michael Smoolca, and his wife, Mary, of Granby; a brother-in-law, John Banas of Enfield; twin grandnieces, Katie and Kristen Marti of Suffield; and grandnephews, Alex and Nicholas Smoolca of Granby. Jane was predeceased by a brother, Frank Barszcz, and two sisters, Helen Banas and Bertha Smoolca.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Suffield House, for their compassion and care they provided while Jane was there.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Ave., Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Enfield.
