Louise Galvin Dailey, 89, of Vernon, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. She was the beloved sister of Virginia "Ginny" Dailey, with whom she made her home until her illness.

She was born Oct. 27, 1922, to the late Francis and Emma Dailey, and was a lifelong resident of Rockville/Vernon. Louise was characterized by her beautiful, warm, infectious smile, her warm disposition and her many friends. Louise retired from the Southern New England Telephone Co. as an assistant business office manager in 1982 with 42 years of service from 1940-1982. She worked for the Town of Vernon Cemetery Commission from 1985-1997, as its cemetery agent. She was a lifetime member of the Morris Tyler Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also a lifetime member of the Union Congregational Church in Rockville and had attended church here for 76 years.

Relatives and friends may join the family, Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Small and Pietras Funeral Home, Rockville.
