John A. Jackmauh, 53, of East Windsor, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, after a long illness. He passed away only hours before his father, Anthony F. Jackmauh.

John was a talented auto body repairman and mechanic who had a never-ending love for motorcycles. John's favorite interest and hobby was motorcycle drag racing. John built, raced, and painted drag racing motorcycles and had invented and patented a wheel alignment product for Harley Davidson. John spent countless hours working on drag bikes and cars. His exceptionally charismatic personality, gift of gab, and sense of humor were unmatched. John had a flair for making ordinary moments entertaining, interesting, and fun. He could talk to anybody about anything and always enjoyed listening and learning about other's experiences and journeys in life.

John leaves his mother, Regina (Reggie) Jackmauh; brother, Alan, and his wife, Cynthia, of Windsor; nephew, Alan Anthony Jackmauh; sister, Donna Jackmauh of Windsor Locks; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him.

Visiting hours will be Friday, Nov. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at St. Philip Church in East Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in East Windsor.
