Mark Allen Dombek, age 60, of Wales, Mass., passed away at his home on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, due to metastatic esophageal cancer.

Mark was a truck driver employed by Balf/Tilcon of Newington for the past 27 years and member of Teamsters Local 559 of South Windsor. Mark was also a life member and hunting chairman of the Stafford Fish and Game Club and member of the Italian Benefit Society, both in Stafford Springs.
Mark is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia A. Dombek of Wales, Mass.; his son, Mark Anthony Dombek of Sturbridge, Mass.; step-daughter, Lori Snow; and three grandchildren, Kristy, DJ and Michael Snow of Warren, Mass. He also leaves his brother Joseph Dombek of Keymar, Md., and brother David Dombek and sister-in-law Pat Dombek of Saint Cloud, Fla.; along with three nieces. He is also survived by his uncle Tony and aunt Joan Dombek and uncle Edward and aunt Lillian Dombek of Rockville; as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Theodore and Marybeth Simard of Thorndike, Mass.; and brother-in-law Robert Simard of Indian Orchard, Mass. He will also be missed by many lifelong friends too numerous to be able to mention. Mark is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen Dombek of Stafford Springs; his daughter Kathleen Dombek of Stafford Springs; and stepdaughter Rachael Murray of Ocala, Fla. He is predeceased by his in-laws, Theodore C. Simard of Coconut Creek, Fla., (formerly of Indian Orchard, Mass.) and Adeline M. Simard of Indian Orchard, Mass. Mark is also predeceased by his sister-in-law Julie Dombek of Keymar, Md.; and his dear friend (and first mate) Richard "Dick" Jenkins of Stafford Springs.
The Dombek family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. William Waldman of Stafford Springs, and especially to Dr. Jay Thumar, Julie Kadamus, Kathleen Ambach, Helen Worton and support staff of the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center, Enfield, for their excellent care and compassion, and to Deborah Nichols of Wing VNA & Hospice. They would also like to extend their gratitude to Liz at Teamsters Local 559 of South Windsor.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m. with a funeral service to take place at 3 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs.
Burial will be held privately at a later date.
