Elsie (Wilhelm) Bohadik, 102, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Rudolph Bohadik, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.

She was born on May 27, 1910, in Mystic, daughter of the late Paul H. and Elsa (Blau) Wilhelm, and had resided most of her life in Manchester. Mrs. Bohadik was formerly employed with W.T. Grants and Cheney Bros. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Manchester.
Mrs. Bohadik is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wes Shorts of Vernon; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Joan Bohadik of Manchester and David and Marlene Bohadik of Tolland; eight grandchildren, Pamela (Bohadik) Carmel, and her husband, Christopher, Robert Bohadik, and his wife, Terri, Richard Bohadik, and his wife, Laureen, Jeffrey Shorts, and his wife, Valerie, Gregory Shorts, and his wife, Maggie, Stacey Shorts, Alison (Bohadik) Martin, and her husband, Keegan, and Timothy Bohadik, and his wife, Haley; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Walter Wilhelm of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her two sisters, Ida Cummings and Edna McDougal, and her brother, Alfred Wilhelm.
Elsie's family would like to extend a special thank you to the sisters and staff, especially the second floor at St. Joseph's Residence in Enfield for their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 41 Park St., Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082, for the benefit of the generator fund.
