Olive (McLean) Faraday, 83, of East Windsor, beloved wife of the late Alton A. Faraday, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 5, 2012.

Olive was born in Milo, Maine, the daughter of John and Agnes McLean. She was a member of St. Phillip Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage on Schoodic Lake in Maine. She also enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends in Connecticut.
Olive is survived by five sons, Dennis and Bea Faraday of South Windsor, Douglas and April Faraday of South Windsor, David and Barbara Faraday of West Suffield, Danny Faraday of East Windsor, and Donald Faraday of East Windsor; her sister, Kathleen Burton of Orono, Maine; her brother, Joe McLean of South Portland, Maine; seven grandchildren, Kyle Faraday, and his wife, Kristina, of Lewisville, Texas, Erin Faraday of Stamford, Trisha Faraday of Manchester, Sara Faraday of Manchester, Brittanee, Brett, and Holden Faraday of Windsor Locks; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Emma Faraday of Lewisville, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Olive was predeceased by her brothers, Tom and Jim McLean, and a sister, Mary Day.
The family will hold a private burial service at Scantic Cemetery.
