Eleanor "Ellie" (Follansbee) Parker, 80, of Somers, loving wife of Harold "Tiny" Parker, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Baystate Medical Center.

Ellie was born March 1, 1932, in Stafford Springs, the daughter of the late Franklin E. and Eleanor E. (Wilkie) Follansbee. Eleanor was an accomplished pianist and organist and enjoyed playing the piano or organ at churches throughout the area. She was a member of the Somersville Congregational Church and played the organ there for over 14 years. Ellie enjoyed quilling for her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Tiny, she is also survived by her three children, Carol Lyman of Springfield, Richard Wilson, and his wife, Kim, of Chicopee, Mass., and Nancy Lum, and her husband, K.W., of Kansas City, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Colleen Parker of Stafford, and Cindy Mortensen, and her husband, Daryl, of Colchester; a brother, Robert Follansbee, and his wife, Shirley, of Flagler Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Michael Lyman, Brian and Kevin Lum, Ben and Emily Wilson and Elizabeth Mortensen; and two great-granddaughters, Makayla and Kayleigh Lyman.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St. (Route 190), Somers.

A funeral service for Ellie will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Somers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Somers New West Cemetery.
