The Guest Book is expired.
John was predeceased by his mother, Simone Budnick, and stepfather, Chet Budnick. He leaves behind his son, John B. Labbe Jr., and his wife, Theresa Labbe; along with two granddaughters, Kayleigh and Taylor Labbe all of Coventry.
He was a Vietnam veteran, who served three tours in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in East Hartford. He was a master locksmith and owned Capitol Safe & Lock for over 30 years and passed his trade on to his son John Jr. We will miss his jokes and funny pranks, along with the stories he would tell. He had a great memory of everyone he ever met and could recall them, and tell funny stories. John was the type of guy who was always there to help anyone who was in need at any given time. His laughter and love of family and friends will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Silver Lane Cemetery on Silver Lane, East Hartford. Afterward everyone is welcome to join the family at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 3 Bidwell Ave. East Hartford.
