Paul F. Miller, 61, of Ellington, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, in his home, from pancreatic cancer.

Paul leaves his wife of 40 years, Nancy (Hasty) Miller; one son, Russell G. Miller, and his wife, Jenna, of Ellington; two daughters, Catherine A. McLean, and her husband, Joseph, of Ellington and Christine E. Miller of Vernon; his mother, Lilly (Edwards) Miller of Wethersfield; a brother, Harold Miller of St. Charles, Ill.; a sister Joyce Hoffman, and her husband, Timothy, of Chadds Ford, Pa.; four grandchildren; Rachel and Connor McLean and Courtney and Isabella Miller; aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Paul was born June 22, 1951, in Hartford, son of Harold G. and Lilly (Edwards) Miller. He was raised in Wethersfield, where he was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, Class of 1969. He was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1973. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Massachusetts Delta Chapter. He has been a member of the Ellington Congregational Church for 25 years. Paul was a professional engineer and had worked for Combustion Engineering for 25 years before becoming the principal of Global Management Consulting LLC for the past 15 years. Paul was a loving family man who was an avid reader and an avid classic car enthusiast.

The family would like to thank the staff of Smilow Cancer Hospital, New Haven, for their loving care.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St., Ellington. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Closer to Free, P.O. Box 7611, New Haven CT 06519; or to the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St., Ellington, CT 06029.
