Norma Jean (Laferriere) Spusta, 68, a resident of Enfield for most of her life, died early Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Eagle Lake, Maine, a daughter of the late Normand E. and Rita (Daigle) Laferriere. Norma was educated from the Enfield school system and was a graduate of Enfield High School, Class of 1964. Presently, she was employed for the past 33 years with Control Module Inc., as an engineering administrator. Norma was a member of the Enfield American Legion Post No. 80 Women's Auxiliary and will be forever remembered by her family as a loving wife, daughter, mother, and sister. Norma was a giving person who relished the opportunity to spend quality time with her loving family and circle of close friends.

She is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 48 years, William F. Spusta Sr.; and leaves two loving sons, William F. Spusta Jr., and his partner, Diane Dillon-Burgio, and her son, Joe Burgio, all of Enfield, and Jason F. Spusta, and his partner, Jane Scott, and her children, Fred and Kathleen Scott, of Enfield; her three cherished sisters, Carole A. Daigle, and her husband, Clifford, of Enfield, Diane M. Pike, and her fiancé, Kenneth Sutherland, of Willington, and Judy M. Hobdell of Enfield. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 9 a.m. from Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, with burial to follow in the Daigle and Laferriere family lot in Hazardville Cemetery, all of Enfield. Relatives and friends may call at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels on Tuesday, March 26, from 4 to 7 p.m.
