Alice "Ali" Pellerin Pouliot , 80, of Vernon passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter to the late Aldea (Ducharme) and Celime Pellerin. She was predeceased by her brother Leo E. Pellerin and J. Albert Pouliot, her husband of 36 years. She married the late Richard McCourt in 1991, who passed away April 4, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle M. Duvall and husband, Anthony Duvall, of Higganum. A granddaughter, Aimee Miranda Perez, and her husband, Eric Perez, and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Issac and Isabelle Perez of Holland, Mass. She also leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Emelie Klein of Lannon, Wisc., and sister-in-law, Birute Pellerin of South Windsor. In addition, she is survived by numerous godchildren and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of St. Ann's School, Hartford Public High School, and Manchester Community College. Her working career was diversified and challenging to which she referred as "an education in itself." She retired as a classified advertising adviser for the Journal Inquirer in 1991. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Vernon, and actively volunteered for the ongoing Haiti Mission. Ali was also a member of the Vernon Suburban Women's Club and worked on many of its fundraisers.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, April 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT 06066. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Route 30, Vernon, with burial following in Saint James Cemetery, Broad Street, Manchester.
