James R. Jones, 85, resident of Manchester for over 30 years and loving husband of Sue M. Jones, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at an area convalescent home. He and Sue had been married for 28 years.

Jim was born in Berlin, N.H., on Aug. 9, 1927, son of Thomas and Gertrude Jones. He served in the Navy and was an accountant prior to retiring.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeanette Jones, and is survived by their two sons, Jeffrey Jones and his wife, Holly, and Gregg Jones and his wife, Sarah. He also leaves his stepchildren, Gayle Jagoda and her husband, "Butch," Patricia Davignon and her husband, "Chap," James Wyse and his wife, Jaye, Lawrence Wyse, and the late Robert Wyse; four grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren and his sister, Pat Sevard, and her children Tammy, Kevin, Louise, and HonHom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manchester.
There are no calling hours.
