LAVONNE E. BROEGE, 84 STOCKTON - LaVonne E. Broege, age 84 of Stockton, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Stockton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 27, 1929 in Elroy, the daughter of the late Vernon and Phoebe (Brininger) Dole. She married Raymond Broege on June 24, 1945 in Nora, IL; he died January 3, 1989. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Audubon Society. LaVonne had farmed with her husband, worked at Burgess Battery Co and Rawleigh Co in Freeport, and retired from Micro Switch. She enjoyed watching birds, cooking, vacationing out west, and listening to Wayne Newton and Dean Martin. She is survived by her Daughter, Cathy Musser; three sons, Vernon Broege of Stockton, Tim Broege of Stockton, and Jeff Dennis of Valparaiso, IN; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Matthew; great grandson, Dennis; three brothers, Ivan, Murnice, & Virgil. The funeral services will be Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton, where a visitation will be held one hour before the service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Holly Grove Cemetery in Lena, IL.
