Mary Glos

MARY GAYLE GLOS, 57 TUCSON, Ariz. - Mary Gayle Glos, 57, died unexpectedly at her home in Tucson, Arizona, on June 29, 2013. She was the first daughter born to the Raymond E. and Martha G. Glos, Jr. of Freeport, Illinois on June 3, 1956. She attended Freeport public schools through junior high and completed high school at the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, where she graduated on June 1, 1974. After graduation she returned to Freeport and worked for Micro Switch/Honeywell. Mary relocated to Tucson and was employed by several electronic firms before landing her dream job with Raytheon Missile Systems. During her employment with Raytheon, Mary was involved with many of today's modern missile systems including the Tomahawk Cruise Missile line where she worked for many years. She was employed by Raytheon at the time of her death. Mary's engaging personality earned her many friends over the years and the family is very grateful to all who enriched her life. Mary was preceded in death by her father, R. E. "Bud" Glos, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Martha G. (Scheidt) Glos of Freeport; her brothers, Reg and Martin Glos; and her sister, Martha "Maggie" Sommer, who all reside in Tucson. Mary also left behind two beloved nieces, Alyssa and Sheila Sommer, both of Arizona. Services are pending in Freeport, Illinois.
