FERN H. WHITE, 79 FREEPORT - Fern H. White died Sat. June 1, 2013 in the Stephenson Nursing Center at the age of 79 yrs. old. Fern was born Sept 13 1933, at home in Cadiz Township, Wis., daughter of Floyd and G. Gladys (Eells) Holloway. She was a 1951 graduate of Winslow High School. She married Lloyd White July 27, 1971 in Erie, IL he died in 1988. Fern worked for 43 years at Structo manufacturing. She was member of First United Methodist Church. She has been an Eastern Star member since 1952 first with the Winslow Chapter, then the Pearl City chapter now with Isabel chapter in Lena. She is a member of Stewart & Schneider Legion Aux in Winslow, Sunrise Home Extension in Freeport. She is survived by one sister Ilo Thinnes, one brother Ray (Shelby) Holloway, both of Freeport, two stepdaughters Sharon (Terry) Cross of Orangeville, Sylvia (Mike) Koester of Freeport. 5 grandchildren Mike (Paula) Cross of Lena, Michelle (John) Cook, of Freeport, Jennifer (DeShaun) Easter, Beloit, Wis, Thomas Kampmeier, Karl Kampmeier both of Freeport, and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, grandparents, 1 sister Theo, 5 brothers Merrill, Harold, Earl, James, Roy Holloway. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the First United Methodist Church in Freeport with Pastor Young Ok Park officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City; Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schwarz Park Blvd. Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd and after 10:00 am Wednesday at the church until the time of service. A Memorial established in her name for First United Methodist Church and Stephenson County Nursing Center.
