HARRIETT R. RING, 91 FORRESTON - Harriett R. Ring, 91, of Forreston, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Polo Rehab and Health Care Center. Harriett was born on February 8, 1922, in Rockford, the daughter of Martin and Ester (Hansen) Engstrom. On December 14, 1946, Harriett married Edward L. Ring in Belvidere. Mr. Ring died on January 16, 2008. Harriett was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Family was very important to Harriett. Surviving are two daughters, Shelley Murphy of Forreston and Charmaine (Bob) Egan of Freeport; brother, Marshall (Carol) Engstrom of Flushing, MI.; sister, Patricia Kelly of Galena; grandchildren, Aaron and Paul Whalen, Lauren Munz and Christopher Murphy. Also surviving is one great-granddaughter, Jade Calvin. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Wendesnday, March 27, at Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston. The Rev. Scott Ralston will officiate. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for Faith Lutheran Church in Harriett's memory. Please sign the guestbook at www.burketubbs.com.
