James "Jim" Allen Albrecht 1932—2018
James "Jim" Allen Albrecht, of Marysville, WA, formerly of Freeport, Il, born on June 17, 1932 in Pleasant Valley Township, Mossbach, Il, passed away to be with the lord at age 86 on September 6, 2018 surrounded by family at Providence Hospital, Hospice Wing, Everett, WA. He graduated from Winslow Community High School, Winslow Il in 1949. From 1950 to 1954, James served in the Navy aboard the USS Hornet. After an Honorable discharge from the Navy, he returned to Winslow and operated a fuel service station until 1964. After landing a job at Kelly Springfield tire he moved the family to Freeport. In 1968, he obtained his pilot license and logged several thousand hours as an instructor and commercial charter pilot at Freeport Aviation, even managing the Monroe Airport for a time. In the early 1990s he quit flying and became a custodian at Highland Community College, Freeport and finally retired in 2012 and moved to Marysville. James was a Mason at Evergreen Lodge 0170, Freeport for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing all his life, but truly enjoyed driving his boat in Puget Sound. James is survived by his sons, Jamie (Louise) Albrecht, of Madison WI, and Jacob (Delores) Albrecht of Marysville WA; daughter, Judi (Barney) Baily of Derrider LA and four grandchildren; brothers, Gary (Nancy) Albrecht and Wayne Albrecht, both of Winslow IL.
