JEANETTE (VIETMEYER) PIVOT, 64 RIDOTT - Jeanette (Vietmeyer) Pivot, 64 yrs. old, of Ridott was taken up to heaven on Saturday, March 23, 2013 after a tragic car accident. She was born on July 22, 1948 in Freeport, the daughter of Russell and Lucille (Baker) Vietmeyer. She was a 1966 graduate of Dakota High School. Jenny was employed for many of her younger years as a waitress at Roy's Fountain. She was also employed by Newell Rubbermaid for over 15 years. She was an avid animal lover, enjoyed crafting, helping others, and gardening. She lived for her family as a devoted Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and friend. Jenny never met a living thing she didn't love. If she crossed your path, you were her friend. Often referred to as "Jenny mom," she was a helpful mother to all and she loved all her "kiddos." She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, and particularly enjoyed helping troubled teens. She loved life, and she would do anything, for anyone, at anytime. Never going anywhere without a smile on her face, her character can be summed up with one experience: She once caught and carried a wasp outside, getting stung 9 times because she wanted to release the wasp into the wild. She would rather take pain on herself than to think of hurting another. She leaves behind an incredible legacy of positivity, love, and encouragement. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, and she was a cheerleader for everyone she encountered. She was the most amazing grandmother, and her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy! Survivors include: Her mother, Lucille (Larry) Miller of Freeport; Her daughters, Tracie (Tim) Whalen of Kentucky, and Nikki (Robert) Kaderly of Freeport; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica, and Ethan Whalen of Kentucky, and Michaiah & Alliyah Kaderly of Freeport. As well as many many friends, loved ones, and precious animals. Preceding her in death were her father, Russell Vietmeyer; as well as many special friends. Services will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday March 28, 2013 at the East Gate Christen Center with Pastor Steve Barr officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial of the cremains at the Ridott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service. A memorial has been established in her memory for the Freeport animal Hospital shelter. Private condolences and online guestbook may be signed at
