NANCY A. SLICK, 82 KENT - Nancy A. Slick, 82, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Manor Court in Freeport. She was born September 7, 1930, in Freeport; the daughter of the late Raymond and Ola (Blair) Brashaw. Nancy and Forest "Frosty" Slick were married on September 18, 1949, in Kent; he died April 28, 2007, together they operated Slick Grocery Store in Kent. She also was an Avon Representative for 30 years. She was a member of Kent United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling with her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Luanne (Scott) Lartz and Barb (Terry) Thomas of Pearl City; 5 grandchildren, Teresa (Doug) Mueller, Tyler Thomas, Tiffany Thomas, Ethan Lartz and Tristan Lartz; 3 great-grandchildren, Hayden Muder, Tieghan Muder and Grace Mueller; and brother, Gerald Brashaw of Marquette, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where visitation will begin an hour before at 10 a.m. Rev. Brenda Morris is officiating.
