Barbara L. Muckler (née: Flinn) RACINE — Barbara L. Muckler, age 91, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born August 6, 1922 in Monmouth, IL. Barbara received a journalism degree from Northwestern University and then pursued a career as an editor in radio and print media. While residing in Racine for the last thirty years she was an active member of St. Monica's Guild at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and Preservation Racine. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed. Barbara is survived by her children, Anne Cameron of Dykesville, WI, Thomas Muckler of Mazomanie, WI, Marylis (Erle) Hansen of Racine, John Muckler of Ann Arbor, MI; her grandchildren, Amber, Zachary, Alexandra, Claire, Juliana, Lyza and Hannah; her great-grandchildren, Regan, Erin, Emily, Brody and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Larkin; father, Clarence Flinn; stepfather, Thomas Larkin; and granddaughter, Melody Ren. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeshore Manor for the loving attention they provided while Barbara was in their care.
