Harry Sam Taktakian

Harry Sam Taktakian Harry Sam Taktakian was born December 13, 1929 in Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from William Horlick High School in 1948. In 1950, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and later was promoted to the rank of sergeant. After his beloved brother, Jack Hagop Taktakian was killed in the Korean War, Harry was discharged as the sole surviving son. Harry and his sweetheart, Sue Gaykian, married in Racine on July 18, 1953. They moved to Pasadena in 1959. Harry worked for many years for Burroughs Corp. and later for Space Systems/Loral as an aerospace machinist. He was preceded in death by his parents Hajy and Altoun Taktakian. He is survived by his wife, Sue Taktakian, daugher Lilly and son-in-law Michael Hubbard; sister Margaret Taktakian Julian; sister Eleanor and her husband Charles Edmondson; niece Susan Julian and partner Jeff List; nephew John Hagop Julian and his wife Kaoru; niece Elizabeth Edmondson and her husband Brian Walsh; and brother-in-law Harry Gaykian and his wife Ellie.
