William H. Christensen(1927 - 2013)

SAN DIEGO, CA - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of William H. Christensen, dedicated husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather. William, born in Two Harbors, MN, graduated from UM-Duluth & earned his Masters Degree in educational guidance. He began his teaching career at Horlick High School in Racine teaching social studies and coaching basketball & football. He became the athletic director of Case High School and was awarded the title of assistant principal before retiring in 1985. William is preceded in death by his mother Inga Saur, father Aagie Henry Christensen, brothers James & Charles Christensen (all from Minnesota) and son Dean Christensen of Racine. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Johnson) of 60 wonderful years of marriage, children Dr. Ross Christensen (Karen Skowronski) of Rancho Santa Fe, CA; Lynn Christensen (Stine Hansen) of Spokane, WA; Eric Christensen (Mary Loos) of Rochelle, IL; Judy Christensen (Don Drott) of Madison, WI;11 Grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. William will be missed by all who had the extreme pleasure of knowing him as an amazing family man, friend, animal lover, veteran of WWII, educator & sports enthusiast. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Kenosha Country Club with visitation from 9am-10:30 am and services beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Parkinsons Foundation of Milwaukee, WI or First Presbyterian Church in Racine, WI.
