William R. Wilson

RACINE - William R. Wilson, age 32, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. William, also known as Willy, Billy and Bammer, was born in Racine, August 1, 1981, son of William P. and Cindy A. (Nee: Bielefeldt). He cherished time with his family and will be so deeply missed. He was the loving father to Lane and Kaylee, and devoted husband to Sarah. He did anything and everything for anyone and everybody. He was the rock of our family. Billy was a graduate of J.I. Case High School “Class of 1999” and attended one year at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. On April 30, 2005 at his parents’ home he was united in marriage to Sarah R. Witek. Billy was extremely patriotic and proud to serve his country. He served in the United States Air Force/Wisconsin Air National Guard stationed at Truax Field, Madison, WI. Billy served two deployments to Baghdad, Iraq and Kuwait. He was a civil engineer/firefighter with the Air National Guard for nine years, and had achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant. He had reenlisted for six more years. He enjoyed belonging to several softball leagues, loved waterfowl hunting with his Dad, his son, Lane, and buddies, Jake, Bobby, Paul and Nick. Survivors include his wife, Sarah; his children, Lane Patrick and Kaylee Rose; his parents, William and Cindy Wilson; sister, Jennifer (Joe) Cronin; niece, “my little NONO” Norah Ann; his grandparents, Elaine M. Bielefeldt, Ken (Marlene) Malec, William B. Wilson, Wilma Witek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David (Barbara) Witek; brother-in-law, Jonathan Witek; very dear aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and an incredibly large circle of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert C. Bielefeldt, Glenn and Sarah Jensen, James Witek, and Great Grandparents William E. and Chrystal M. Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 31, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita’s Catholic Parish, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Father Jim officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.
