Geoffrey Lynn Baillie LONGBRANCH, WA (formerly of Racine) - Geoffrey Lynn Baillie, beloved father and husband, age 65, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 27, 2012. He was born March 27, 1947 in Racine Wisconsin to the late Lendrum George Baillie and Helen Reichert Baillie. He is a graduate of William Horlick High School, class of 1965. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in nuclear engineering and played centerfield on the school’s varsity baseball team. He also attended Arizona State University Law School and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Washington State of the Civil Discipline. Geoff is highly respected and valued by his colleagues He was formerly the president of the Seattle Engineers Club, and founder and president of Baillie & Associates, Inc., which he established in 1998 after nearly 35 years’ experience in project management of transportation, industrial and institutional projects. As an active and beloved member of the community, Geoff was the President of the Peninsula School District Board of Directors, taught harmonica to elementary school children, and, with his wife Lynn, held annual fundraisers to help build the Evergreen Elementary School reading room. He was Secretary then President of the Longbranch Improvement Club over the past three years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling with his wife Lynn, playing harmonica and sailing. Geoff was an important and central part of many lives. He was loved by many, respected by all, and will be missed daily. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Larson, his children with Lori Smith Baillie, Geoffrey Baillie of Seattle, WA., Brian Baillie of Chicago, IL, and Ashley Baillie of Gig Harbor, WA, grandchildren Conor and Oliver Baillie, a sister, Bonnie Baillie Konsinowski of Racine, WI, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Geoff was preceded in death by his parents, and an elder brother, Brian. Donations in memoriam can be made to Evergreen Elementary School, in Longbranch, WA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Geoffrey Baillie at the Longbranch Improvement Club on December 31, 2012 at 1:00pm.
