RACINE - Cheryl Ann (nee: Schweiger) Mierow, 52, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Saturday evening, September 3, 2005, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Cheryl was born in Milwaukee on December 31, 1952, to Edwin and Lillian (nee: Buswell) Schweiger. She lived in Racine most of her life. Cheryl was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church of Racine. In 2004, she walked in the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure." Cheryl loved the beach; her cat, Korbel; and her Harley Davidsons. She is survived by four children, Kristen (Mark) Jarstad of Racine, Tammany Dale of Racine, William (Jill) Mierow Jr. of Oak Creek, and Jamie (Cory) Bigsby of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Kelsey, Michael, Samuel, Jacob, Jenna, Lauren, and Alexander; her parents, Ed and Lillian Schweiger of Oak Creek; one brother, Charles A. (Pamela) Schweiger of Oak Creek; one niece, Stephanie (Nick) Markwardt; one nephew, Christopher Schweiger; and one aunt, Nellie Rhoades of South Milwaukee. Other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Creighton Kaye officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park located in Oak Creek. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until service time. Memorials in memory of Cheryl Ann Mierow to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
