PLEASANT PRARIE - Edward D. 'Champ' Burke, 42, of Pleasant Prairie, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at his residence. He was born on November 5, 1963, in Kenosha, he was the son of Edward D. and Diane L. (Pulera) Burke. He attended local schools. On January 4, 1986, he married Susan Decker. For many years he was employed at Monarch Plastics Industries. For 30 years he played the drums with various bands throughout the area. Edward loved to play drums and entertain people. He also loved to garden and cook meals for family and friends. He was active in the community. He helped with many fund raisers for people who needed help. He will be remembered for the love he had for his children, his kindness and generosity. Survivors include his wife, Susan of Pleasant Prairie; two children, Jamie Lee Burke of Racine, Eddie Samuel Burke of Pleasant Prairie; his parents, Edward Burke of Kenosha, Diane Burke of Racine; his grandmother, Shirley (Hubert) Pulera and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers and a grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd at 12 noon at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
