Eugene Cesario Obituary

RACINE - Eugene Andrew Cesario, 74, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 2, 2009, at his residence. Born on November 12, 1934, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee: Consolo) Cesario. On May 5, 1956, he married Patricia Roeschen, who preceded him in death on October 11, 2006. Eugene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also known in the extended family as the fun and silly Uncle Gene. One of his greatest life achievements was the kind and gentle way he cared for his wife during her illness and continued to cherish her memory upon her death. Eugene's other interests included gardening, cooking, and he always knew a better way to "fix everything!" Eugene is survived by two sons, Mark (Beth) Cesario of Sheboygan and Craig Cesario of Racine; one daughter, Debra (Thomas) Meier of Waukesha; grandchildren, Jason (Jenny) Meier, Alicia Meier, Mark Cesario, and Anne Cesario; a brother, Alfred (Dori) Cesario; and several nieces and nephews, who adored him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. My greatest loss is I never met my cousin Gene in person. Our contact was always through the mail.
My father, ( Dan Cunsolo), adored Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe.
My sympathy to his family on such a great loss

My deepest sympathy to all the family. Although I regret that we could not spend more time with our cousins because we lived so far from each other. I loved Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe. My mom, Verna and Aunt Mary had some wonderful visits in Windber, Pa. No one loved her boys more than Aunt Mary.

So sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I have many happy memories of him. My then husband (Henry) and I used to get together with Jeff and Diane, Pat and Gene to go to casinos, yard parties and etc over the years. Gene was a wonderful guy. He could discuss anything from politics, to gardening, to fixing machinery, to the best way to fry eggplant. I know you will all miss him tremendously, but find comfort in his being back with Pat again.

Prue & I are truly saddened to hear of Gene's passing! What great memories we have of the fun times we all enjoyed over the "50 years plus", we have had with Gene & Pat! The golf trips to New Orleans...Green Lake... Las Vegas and Door Cty...Nothing but fun and laughs with our pals! I would stop and visit with Gene every summer when we were back in Racine and we always had some good laughs about the "good old days" together!! This Guest Book is not big enough to list all the fun we had with Gene and Pat over those 50 years, but those memories and all the fun pictures we still have will always be there to cherish and remember Gene, a great friend and pal!! May God Bless Gene for Eternal Life and his Loved Ones, Debbie, Mark, Craig and their children and for them to remember all those good years they shared with both Gene and Pat. With Love for all ages, Rod & Prue Hermes
