MOUNT PLEASANT - John G. Mueller, age 79, passed away on June 12, 2013 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove. He was born in Milwaukee September 7, 1933 to Henry & Edna (Manteufel) Mueller. John lived most of his life in Milwaukee and more recently lived in Union Grove & Mt. Pleasant. He was united in marriage to Carol A. (Zehm) at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Milwaukee on August 27, 1955. John attended the old Boys Technical High School where he acquired his GED, served in the Marines from 1953 to 1955. He worked at Wisconsin Motors, Marquette Cement and retired from Grede Foundries. He also worked part time at UG High School as a Maintenance man and also at Personnell Inc. as a driver for the SC Johnson Co. He was a member of the American Legion Post 171 of Union Grove, where he volunteered in the kitchen. John is survived by his wife, Carol, and their children: Kenneth (Sandra), Milwaukee, Lawrence (Vanessa) Keith (Vicki) of So. Milwaukee, Mark (Anita) Arlington, WA. James (Coleen) St. Francis: 7 grandchildren, Dan ( Peter) Kate(Steve)Gleason, Ann , Jennell (Dennis)Sieloff, Bryan(Amanda), & Nicholas & Nathan of WA.and 1 great granddaughter Aubrey Mueller, sister, Helen Boretsky, brother Robert (Sandra) brother-in-law Allan Zehm, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Edna, brother Bill, brother-in-law, Warren Knoebel his mother-in-law & father in-law Erv & Marcella Zehm and sister-in-law Claudia Zehm. Visitation for John will be held at St.Robert Bellermine Catholic Church, Union Grove on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 9 am - 12 pm. Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Robert Kacalo will being at 12 noon. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at the Union Grove Memorial Cemetery. A special thank you to the entire staff at Boland Hall especially on 3 west at the Veterans Home in Union Grove for their care and support.
