RACINE - Age 90, Lillie Mae Dyess was called home to eternal life on Friday, February 15, 2013, at Ridgewood Care Center, Racine. She was born in West Enterprise, MS to Johnny Van and Alberta (nee: Williams) Dyess. At an early age she moved to Racine. Lillie Mae was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Pastor J.B. Bailey and later, Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby until her health began to fail. Surviving are her children, Frankie M. Jones, Charles Jones, Drew Jones, and Thomas F. (Denise L.) Jones. She is further survived by brothers, Edward Dyess, Johnny (Judy) Dyess; sisters, Annie (Rama) Chew and Gloria J. Walker; sister-in-law, Louise Dyess; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces; nephews; other family and friends. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Samuel Jones; daughter, Patricia Hill; granddaughter, Tammy Hill; great grandson, Andre Heath; sisters, Edna Ruth Freeman, Alma Ruth Dyess; special niece, Sandra Carol Light; brothers, James Dyess, William Dyess; sister-in-law, Joan Dyess, former husband, Frank Jones; and special friend, John Lovelady. Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 12:00 Noon at the St. Paul Baptist Church 1123 Center Street with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby and Pastor Richard L. Jones co-officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
