Denise M. Krewal (Née: Janikowski) RACINE Our angel, Denise M. Krewal, age 54, went to heaven on February 21, 2014 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Wauwatosa, WI. Denise was born in Cudahy, WI, October 29, 1959, daughter of Ramiguisz and Lenore (Née: St. Antoine) Janikowski. Denise graduated from Cudahy High School "Class of 1979", and later from the University of Milwaukee in 1983. On October 31, 1987 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Cudahy, she was united in marriage to her soulmate, Todd A. Krewal. She was employed by Gimbels as an accounts payable manager, retiring because of illness. Her last place of employment was at Wilson's Coffee and Tea. In 1994 Denise was a recipient of the gift of life: a kidney and pancreas transplant. She loved her extended life for twenty years because she knew how fragile life can be. Denise published a book of poetry Her Pride! Spotted Overcoat. Poetry on the Lam, 2013. It received international recognitions and was published online. Book excerpt: Silent Scream "Floating above the room, looking down at their faces unaware of my presence, then back in my body looking up at them still oblivious to my consciousness. As I wander between life and death they don't think I can hear their frail voices, whisper of the next step, vital procedure. Or see the wrinkles that are permanently furrowing between their eyebrows, tears seem out of place." Survivors include her soulmate of twenty-six years, Todd A. Krewal; her mother, Lenore Janikowski; brother and sisters, Gene (Pat) Janikowski, Madelyn (Gerry) Boisvert, Judy Heinrichs; brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who she loved so much! She was preceded in death by her father, Ramiguisz Janikowski. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014, 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father Tom Janikowski officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 7:00 P.M. Private interment will be held.
