RACINE - Dennis Ray Rusch, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2014. Dennis was born in Milwaukee on May 24, 1952 the son of the late James and Betty (née: Osborn) Rusch. After graduating from Franklin High School "Class of 1970" Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force from which he was honorably discharged in 1973. He was a member of the American Legion Post #494 in Sturtevant. For several years he was employed at Conserco and Central Redi-Mix as a cement truck driver. Dennis spent his days being a dedicated father and loving "Bumpa". He was known for showing off on the dance floor and hanging out with good friends at Greg's Catering. Dennis is survived by his children; Brandy (Matt) Stork of Racine, Jared (Jessica) Rusch of Oak Creek and Ashley (Bill) Nabbefeld of Racine. He is further survived by eleven grandchildren; Alyssa, Dawson, Skylar, Brandon, Gage, Jared Jr., Carsyn, Sarahbeth, Faith, Jaxon and Kane. Dennis is also survived many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A brief memorial service will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at twelve noon. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Dennis in a special way may direct memorials to the family. Dennis's family would like to take this opportunity to express their profound gratitude to the initial responders who assisted his daughter Brandy and the entire Rusch family in their time of need.
