RACINE - Marie (née: Harter) Goldsworthy, 83, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Racine on Saturday March 8, 2014. Marie was born in Racine on January 12, 1931 the daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (nee: McFarland) Harter. She was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School "Class of 1949". Marie was united in marriage to Claude Goldsworthy in Racine on September 24, 1949. She was an Avon Sales Representative for 21 years, retiring in 1993. Marie was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, found great enjoyment in needlework, enjoyed the beauty of the flowers and nature at the family home in Larsen, Wisconsin, which provided her relaxation and comfort for many years. Most of all, Marie enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren and loved ones. Marie is survived by her children; Jerry (Cathy Seitz) Goldsworthy, Sherry Degerman, Sue (Ron) Miller and Jon (Sue) Goldsworthy. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Amy Goldsworthy, Tricia Mauer, Clint Miller, Trevor Degerman, Darrel Miller, Carly Golds- worthy, Adam and Alex Wilson. Marie is further survived by great grandchildren; Michael, Chloe, Olivia, Hampton, Hailee, Adrianna and Olyve. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers- in-law, in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Claude on January 10, 2013, her parents and stepmother, Petra. Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday March 11, 2014, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Echelbarger officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at West Lawn Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
