BURLINGTON - Donald H.”Doc” Wiseman, 86, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Aurora Memorial Hospital Burlington. Born in Portland, OR on June 30, 1927, he was the son of William and Elizabeth (nee Brown) Wiseman. He spent his early life in Burlington where he graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Doc proudly served his country, in the Army, during World War II. On February 15, 1956 he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Poor. Following marriage they made their home in Wind Lake where they raised their family, before moving to Burlington in 1971. Shirley preceded him in death February 27, 2001. Doc was a pipefitter with Local 601 Pipefitters Union. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He loved watching hockey and baseball and in his high school days was a boxer. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Leslie (Stephen) Pallek of Wind Lake, Scott Wiseman of Burlington, Ann Large of Burlington, Lynn (Dan) Krueger of Burlington and Kara Lashway of Colorado; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, David (Peggy) Wiseman; sister, Marialice (Richard) Matz; sister-in-law, Anita Wiseman and good friend, Shirley Berndt along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ray Large and brother, Wally Wiseman. Memorials to Catholic Central High School baseball team are suggested. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington and Aurora VNA Hospice staff for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial for Doc will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 12:30 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Spring. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory 625 S.
