CRANDON - Daniel Owen Welch, age 52, (formerly of Kansasville, WI) passed away unexpectedly at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander on Friday, May 2, 2014. Dan was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 27, 1961 the son of Theodore and Marleen (Peternell) Welch. On August 16, 1986 he married Carol Lukaszewski. Dan and Carol moved to Crandon in 1999. He owned and operated C & D Restoration. Dan was often seen in Crandon doing brick restoration on many of the old buildings. He shoveled snow off the roofs of local businesses and cleared the sidewalks on main street during the winter. For several years he did floral deliveries for Flowers From The Heart. Dan was a member of the Crandon Area Chamber of Commerce, son of American Legion Post 171 and past member of Kansasville Fire Dept. He enjoyed researching his heritage and being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Dan was loved by many for many reasons, none less than his love of life and connecting with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Dan is survived by his wife, Carol Welch of Crandon Son: Paul (Monica) Welch Daughter-in-law: Chrisandra Linden Parents: Theodore and Marleen Welch Sister: Tara (Jeff) Lee Brother: Paul (Linda) Welch Grandchildren: Trever and Kyera Survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sister-in laws all that he loved very much. Further survived by special cousins, Gary Pingel and John Armour. He is preceded in death by his son, Bob; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul & LaVonne Lukaszewski; grandparents, Lawerence & Betty Welch and Matthew & Ellen Pertnell. Special thank you to Angie Brockway, Bruce Walentowski, Paul Pitts, Crandon Rescue Squad and Ministry Medical Clinic and Hospital. Gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, May 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon.
