Thomas G. Manara
WILD ROSE (Formerly of Racine) - Thomas Guy Manara, age 97, passed away May 16, 2014, at Wild Rose Manor, Wild Rose, WI. He was born in Buffalo, NY July 29, 1916, son of the late George and Provvidina (Nee: Valente) Manara. Tom served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Belle City Chapter 9 of the DAV. He was employed by Massey Ferguson for many years. Tom was a willing volunteer for the United Fund and any Senior Citizens events and was a charter member of the Memorial Hall Senior Center. He was a former member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Maryann (Richard) Jacobi, Susan Petersen, Dale Daher, Troy (Mary) Halvorsen; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ada Koss and Eola Prevratil. Graveside services with full military honors will be held TODAY, Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue.
