KENOSHA - formerly of Racine – Sharon Ann Redford Blaesing, 80, passed away July 5, 2014 after making our world a better place through the life she led and how she happily shared her talents with so many of us. Sharon was a lifelong Racine resident who, with her husband Bill, raised their four children with energy, warmth and promoting discovery of nature and beyond. Her artistic talents, teaching skills at Racine Lutheran High School, Racine’s Unified Schools and Wustum Museum, and her wonderful conversations touched many lives in a positive way . . . forever. Sharon will be dearly missed by her son, Geoff (Joanne) Blaesing, daughters, Carol (Paul) Zanotti, Peggy (David) Johnson and Nancy (Tab) O’Neal; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and grandson, Christopher Blaesing. Join in celebrating Sharon’s life at the Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 4 until 7 PM, immersing ourselves in her artwork, sharing stories, and eating pizza. Please wear a colorful outfit. A ceremony in her honor will start at 7 PM. Family committal services will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Christopher Blaesing Endowment at Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1997, Milwaukee, WI 53226 or Living Hope Lutheran Church, 1619 N. Newman Rd., Racine, WI 53406, would be appreciated. Condolences may be made at www.wilson “The family thanks the staffs of Parkside Manor and Season’s Hospice for their special care.” Miss Me -- But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no nights in a gloom-filled room Why cry for a soul set free Miss me a little-but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me -- but let me go For this journey we all must take And each must go alone It's all part of the Master's Plan A step on the road to home When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds; Miss me -- but let me go.
