BRISTOL - Robert F. Ludwig, age 87, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. He was born January 7, 1927 to Frank and Henrietta (nee Fettes) Ludwig in Silver Lake, WI. His early life was spent in Silver Lake and Brighton where he attended St. Francis Grade School. On April 15, 1950 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Henningfield at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover. They resided in Paris Township following their marriage. Bob served in the Army during WWII. He had worked at American Motors as a tool grinder and retired after 30 years of service. Bob was active in various organizations including; being a member of VFW #7924 Kansasville, American Legion Bixby Hansen 171, Harley –Davidson Kenosha Hog Chapter and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years. He enjoyed riding and actively participated in Motorcycle Hill Climbs, Ice Racing and Scrambles. Bob enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He is survived by his wife, children; Robert Jr. (Debra) Ludwig of Pleasant Prairie, Raymond (Audry) Ludwig of Buffalo, WY, Marjorie VonHaden of Necedah, Nancy Rains of Kenosha, Frank (Mindy) Ludwig of Kenosha and Mary (John) Cass of Tucson ,AZ. 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marjorie Brever and a son-in-law Morris VonHaden' Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev Russ Arnett officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, July18, 2014 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home.
