. ST. CROIX, US VIRGIN ISLANDS - Earl Lee Small Jr., formerly of Racine, perished in an aircraft accident near Dryden, N.Y. on Thursday, October 16, 2008. This new age "Sky King," the owner of Flying S Aviation in Villa Rica, Ga., held a lifelong passion for aviation. He was a multi-type rated pilot, who loved collecting and flying vintage planes. Earl was well known in the Harley Davidson and Honda motorcycle worlds with dealerships in Marietta, Ga., Cartersville, Ga., and Columbia, S.C. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Rhonda Rhode Small; and their two sons, Marshall and Mitchell; his parents, Earl and Sybil Small; his parents-in-law, Marshall and Vi Rhode; two sisters, Ginny (Mark) Morrison and Peggy Small; sister-in- law, Marsha (Robert) Helland; and brother-in-law, Ryan Rhode. He was a loving and jovial uncle to his three nieces and three nephews. The Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. at McEachern United Methodist Church on the corner of Macland Road and Lost Mountain in Powder Springs, Ga. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, N.E., Marietta, Ga. 30061.
