BOULDER, COLO. - Kim Kenneth Yanke passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2009, in Boulder, Colorado. He was born December 7, 1954 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kim graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine in 1974. He served as PFC in the United States Air Force and attended the University of Wisconsin - Parkside. Most recently, Kim was owner of an oil and gas company. Kim was fun-loving, effervescent and full of endless optimism and positive energy. He was a devoted husband, father and son who loved his entire family above all else. Kim leaves behind his loving wife, Arlene Veblen; stepdaughter, Kari Veblen and stepson, Conner Veblen; loving mother and father, Bernard and Rosalind Yanke; his sisters, Cheri (Richard) Neustifter, Tami (David) Getche, Nanci (Jim) Smith, Penny (Bill Wald) Yanke, Wendy Yanke, Dina (Patrick) Whalen; and many loving nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at Plymouth Congregational church with the Reverend Bob Wang officiating.
