Marilyn and Family
Just heard the tragic news. Reading the tributes, it came as no surprise to learn Charlie became the kind of caring person he was. His grandparents Nash were close personal friends of my parents and Pat and I became lifelong Spalding buddies, from the early fifties on. I know big, loving hearts run in the Nash family. And you, Marilyn I will always remember for your tender, loving care of my irreplaceable buddy, Steve. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To Charlie's family I knew Charlie from the Ace shop and every time I went there it was always nice to see him. He had the greatest intelligence on human emotion. He knew how to take care of you. It breaks my heart to know that even our earth angels have to succumb to such an early death. I never would've expected his death to hurt my heart in the way it did since I had rarely seen him. There are just a handful of people in this world of his nature towards others. I hope Charlie can look down on us from heaven and give us the strength to never take people for granted as we all do everyday. Rest in peace Charlie and hope that one day God will let us meet again.
