Steven Adzima Through at-home hospice care, and after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease, Steven Adzima, 96, passed into eternal life on February 12, 2013, at the home of his son in Oldsmar, Florida. He gently fell asleep in his favorite recliner and woke up in Heaven. Steven was born in Racine, WI, June 9, 1916 to Michael and Anna (Miklos). He attended Washington Park H. S. He married Mary Bellovary on Jan. 29, 1944 at St. Rose Church. They celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary in 2013. He worked at Webster Electric as a skilled machinist for 47 years until his retirement in 1981. During WWII, he received special security clearance for military projects. Steve was an avid golfer including a hole-in-one in 1962 at Johnson Park. His Webster Electric bowling team won the ABC National Tournament in 1952. He loved baseball and for more than 20 years was an outstanding fast pitch player. He was a loyal fan of his beloved Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers and was a veritable walking encyclopedia of stats, facts, and figures of his favorite teams. Throughout their 69 year marriage and in retirement Steve and Mary enjoyed travel in the USA and Canada. They wintered in Tarpon Springs, Florida for 14 years. After selling their homestead, they lived at Imperial Apartments, then later moved to Florida and lived at the luxurious Stratford Court. Finally they came to live with their son's family where he enjoyed many family celebrations and dinner parties and received exemplary nutrition, care, and cleanliness which no doubt added to his long lifespan. Though his young childhood was very difficult, Steven became a dedicated provider who loved his family and precious extended family, his nation, and his GOD. We will miss his compassionate and gentle manner. He is survived by his wife Mary, son, daughter- in-law, and two grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Bowers, VA and Allan Jr. He was the last surviving member of nine children: Ann (George) Heidenreich, Mike (Lucille) Adzima, Harry Adzima, Irene (Perry) Cueto, Helen (Rudy) Kutis, Sally (Edwin) Becker, Pauline (Alex) Klinski, Margaret (Chuck) Thielen.
