Patricia J. McCabe RACINE – Patricia J. McCabe, nee McCormick, 78, went home to God on Monday, March 18, 2013, surrounded by her family. Pat was born in McKees Rocks, PA on May 16, 1934 to Everett and Hilda (nee, Fauth) McCormick. She graduated from South Hills High School in Pittsburg, PA in June 1952 and moved to Racine in 1957. Pat was employed by Massey-Ferguson Company and retired in 1984 from J.I. Case Company. Following her retirement, she worked as a receptionist for the Journal Times. Pat was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a past president of the Lakeshore Business and Professional Women’s Club. Survivors include her sons, Skip (Cindy) McCabe of Corona, CA and Daniel (Cindy) McCabe of Racine; daughter, Lynn (Mark) Pomaville of Dousman, WI; grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Pederson, Daniel (Stephanie) McCabe Jr., Sara (Jamie Jensen) McCabe, Justin (Janae) McCabe, Jennifer (Justin) Morelli, Teresa McCabe, Claire, Melissa, Michael and Gina Pomaville; great grandchildren, Ty Miller, Tyler and Kaylea McCabe, Brianna and Matthew Pederson; her brother, Donald (Dorothy) McCormick of Pittsburg, PA; and special friends, Aquanetta and Kedric Lewis and Margaret Walker. Pat is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Kevin C. Mullins, O.S.A. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
