BIDDEFORD - Barry M. Lemire Sr., 66, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1949, in Biddeford, a son of Emile E. and Gladys (Treadwell) Lemire, and was educated in Old Orchard Beach schools.
Barry had been employed at Frank Galos Chevrolet and later with LynFlex Corp./Der-tex in Saco for 30 years until retiring five years ago due to illness.
On May 19, 1983, he married Patricia Tellier in Biddeford.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, country and western music, motorcycles, guitar playing, painting and his dog Matlock.
Barry is preceded in death by: Patricia, his wife of 32 years on April 13, 2015; and also by his brothers, David and William Lemire.
He is survived by: his mother, Gladys Lemire of Biddeford; son, Michael Desrochers and his wife Crystal of Biddeford; daughter, Denah Desrochers of Jamestown, New York; son, Barry Lemire Jr.; daughters, Mary Ann and Tina Lemire; brothers, Normand Lemire and his wife Mignone of Old Orchard Beach, Gordon Lemire of Biddeford, Anthony Lemire and his wife Catherine of Bucksport, and Robert Lemire of Biddeford; sisters, Gloria J. of Old Orchard Beach, and Donna M. of New York; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
