Barbara Trimble Obituary

Trimble, Barbara (Nee Irish ). It was rare to find Barbara Irish Trimble without a smile. Whether she was a part of the conversation or not, she always had the most genuine look in her eyes, taking in every last word you said, each one more important than the last. She was one of the few people on this Earth who could find the best in just about anybody, and could make you feel more special than you ever gave yourself credit for. Barb was born on Oct. 1, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI. She married John Trimble, and they had five kids together. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Feb. 7, 2015 in her home at Cedar Community in West Bend with family close by. Barb was a caregiver to all, with complete strangers being no exception. She showed us all that it was perfectly possible to toss a couple sarcastic choice words out and still be unbelievably compassionate the whole time. She was a determined woman. Determined that not one grandchild would get by without a hug, determined to cook her rice pancakes to perfection every time, and determined to raise her family to be as generous and open-minded as she was. Her family was her pride and joy. Since she grew-up an only child, she poured her heart and soul into every member. She could stay on the phone for hours just to keep hearing your voice. And she could also talk for hours herself recounting every last detail of a story that had taken place years ago. She was a loyal daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Packer fan. She was truly unforgettable and is irreplaceable. Barb is preceded in death by her parents, Russell J. Irish and Genevieve (nee McAneny) Irish. She is survived by her husband, John Trimble; her children, Russell Trimble and his wife, Karen, Nancy Trimble, Carl Trimble and his wife, Nancy, Laura McCann and her husband, Frank, and John E. Trimble; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wed., Feb. 11 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 501 Walnut Street, West Bend. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and the service will begin at 4:00 PM. A reception will follow at West Bend Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations to Cedar Community Partners in Caring Homes or to a charity of your choice. We never had the privilege of meeting Barbara, but she was very beautiful- a sweet & kind inner beauty, as well as outward. She has such kind eyes & I have only heard great things about her! She is surely smiling that beautiful, radiant smile in heaven in the glory & light of The Lord. We will all see her again in our own time. My condolences to the Trimble family. Be blessed.

Barbara was one of the first people we met at the Beach Club. From the first time and every time we saw her, we were blessed by her lovely smile and kind words. She was never too busy to chat, even though she had to put down her amazing knitting. She will be missed.

Barbara was a special woman. She had tremendous patience with me throughout my adolescence which was not all roses. As I grew out of my teen years we became friends. She always had a kind word or a funny story to help ease moments of tension. I will never forget her and I wish the entire Trimble family the best in these difficult times.

Dear Trimble Family,
It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it feels like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very wonderful memories that will push the pain away and bring back your smiles. May you find comfort in knowing an Angel is now watching over you! Please remember us if you need anything.
