John Schloegel Obituary

Schloegel, John A. Born in Milwaukee, WI on November 28, 1932, and passed away peacefully on November 12, 2016. John had many blessings: he was an accomplished accountant, loving father, grandfather and husband, and loyal friend. He was known for his kind and generous heart, his early rising and hard work approach to life, his resilience and inspiration. Preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie (nee Muth) Schloegel, in 1969. Loving husband of Jean (nee Wargin) Schloegel for 45 years. Loving father of Richard, Kathryn, Thomas (Erika), John, Daniel (Elizabeth) and Jeanne (Tad). Fondest Grandfather of Colin, Ross, Daniel Schloegel; Shannon, Michaela and Jackson Rusch; Sam Schloegel and Solange Dagress; Sarah and Patrick Schloegel; Nora and Will Schloegel; Jacob, Madison, Noah, and Hannah Laszewski. John graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1954. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a lifelong member of the Wisconsin Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Milwaukee C.F.A. Society. John loved his alma mater and personally followed its football fortunes. He was a member of Windstar Country Club, Naples, Florida where he spent his last fifteen winters. Together with Jean, he created many treasured memories for his children and grandchildren. All of his relatives are filled with gratitude for wonderful times and precious memories. Visitation Saturday December 3 from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2750 W. Mequon Rd, Mequon, WI 53092. John was one of the nicest and most sincere men I have ever met. It was such a pleasure having had the opportunity to have gotten to know him and he will be missed. He always spoke about his love for his family and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

john was a long time bike mate of mine in naples, where he spent his winters. I remember a guy who would never give up his bike and continued to ride in Virginia up to his last day. I will miss his ever positive attitude, repartee and his dogged determination to continue a sport he loved. He will be sorely missed by all of his friends. see you in biker heaven,
