Griffiths, Howard John "Welch" January 7, 2013. Age 84 years. Preceded in death by his sons Gerald (Elizabeth) and Russell (Janis). Beloved husband of Lorraine for 64 years. Loving father of Steven (Cinda), Jean (Daryl) Olson, Lori (Daniel) Mielke, and Mary (William) Spitzer. Dear brother of Doris, Marge, Esther, and the late Emlyn, Jr. Further survived by 23 grandchildren, 19 great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Special thanks to the staffs of Tudor Oaks and VITAS Hospice for their tender loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 11, at 11:00 AM, at St. Rita Church, S. 60th and W. Lincoln Ave. Please meet at the church for start of mass. Visitation Thursday, January 10, at Schaff Funeral Home 4:00-8:00 PM. Vigil 7:30 PM.
